Affiliate disclosure

Links marked Ad are affiliate links: if you buy after following one, the retailer pays us a commission. The price you pay is the same.

How the links work

Some pages carry a short block of links headed with the label Ad. Each link goes, through the Awin affiliate network, to a product page on the retailer's own site. If you buy something there within the retailer's attribution window (30 days for the programmes we are in), the retailer pays BTUtally a commission. The price you pay is the same either way. The link itself is a redirect on awin1.com; it sets no cookie on BTUtally and sends no data from this site to the retailer.

The Ad label and the sentence above appear before every such block, and in the footer of every page, so you know before you click. Every affiliate link carries rel="sponsored", so search engines treat it as paid.

What the blocks say, and what they do not

A block repeats only what the retailer's own product page says: what the product is for, and its lowest listed price with the day we read it. We have not tested the products and do not rank them. Where our guides name other brands, those names are there because people search for them; they are not links and nobody pays for them. Brand names belong to their owners, and BTUtally is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any brand named on the site beyond the affiliate programmes described here.

We do not run paid search on brand names, we do not publish voucher codes and we do not write paid reviews. The calculators and the tables on the guides come from published sizing charts with their sources, and no affiliate relationship changes a figure on them.

Programmes we are in

Awin (publisher Softmed Labs SRL): Repenic, a UK maker of heating controls, dimmers and switches. This list is updated when a programme is added or ends.
